TYPO3 agency · 2021 to 2025 · lead developer

For four years I worked for many ways out as lead developer on a single product: a multi-tenant SaaS platform for maintenance management that the agency runs and develops for an industrial software vendor. At times together with one in-house developer, mostly solely responsible for architecture and implementation.

• Move to a DDD architecture with a clear separation of layers. Business logic shifted into the domain layer, testability raised considerably, internal logic stabilised.
• A test regime with PHPUnit and Codeception that keeps ongoing development safe.
• A complex permission system (ACL) and a read API for tenants.
• Upgrades from TYPO3 8.7 via 10.4, 11.5 and 12.4 to 13.4 while the platform kept running, with feature development continuing in close coordination with the end customer.

Wilder Jäger

Since 2016 I have been Wilder Jäger's technical partner for TYPO3 projects, with fluctuating workload but without interruption. Together we have built numerous hotel websites: the agency owns concept and design, I own architecture, backend, infrastructure and deployment.

• Multi-site setups in which several houses of a group run multilingually in one TYPO3 instance.
• Integration of booking engines and other third-party services.
• LTS upgrades and ongoing maintenance of the instances.

For a good two years I accompanied Constructiva Solutions in a large client project: refactoring of the existing code, architecture decisions, TYPO3 upgrades and ongoing backend development in the team.

For Easyfairs I looked after the trade-fair websites on TYPO3: a multi-site setup for many events, plus upgrades, consulting and reviews.
